Raw Cacao Bombs

My little sister Lauren was here visiting me a couple of weeekends ago in Sydney; and we decided to get ‘non-baking’ in the kitchen Saturday afternoon. On the menu was these delicious little treats that we call Raw Cacao Bombs! They are the bomb in every sense, satisfying the chocolate fix, providing energy and just generally awesome! Such a great treat or snack on the go and soooo easy to make! Essentially you are mixing together 5 key ingredients. See below for the recipe.

RAW CACAO BOMBS

(recipe makes approx 10 balls)

Ingredients

1 tablespoon raw organic cacao powder (buy here)

1/2 cup raw macacadmia nuts

7 medjool dates

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1/4 cup organic dessicated coconut

Method

Place the macadamias in a food processor and pulse until the nuts are brought down to tiny chunks. Add the chopped dates, dessicated coconut, coconut oil and raw cacao powder. Mix until the mixture forms a paste like texture ready for rolling into balls. Roll balls into dessired size and coat in dessicated coconut.

  1. I was looking for a simple no fuss recipe to make cocoa balls. I love to have one to give me an energy boost at 3:30 during the working week…Boost Juice has some seriously yummy ones but I have no idea what’s in them and I spied a packet of Oreos on the counter which worries me. I’ll definitely be giving these ones a go :)

    • Yes do try these! Get your dad onto it hehe I’m sure he will love this! mmm yeah I would stick to your own vs. boost juice’s version. Alternatively if you try health food stores they have some great little natural power balls like these. With the ingredients listed. But do try these first-so simple! Enjoy non-baking xxx
