What would happen if you started living the life you truly desired? You started living, loving and eating from a place of authenticity and truth…You no longer fell into the ‘fads’ of life – fad diets, fad fashion, fad ideas around what is right and wrong.
I am here to guide, inspire and delve into such juicy questions.
I am Nadine Lee – a Holistic Nutritionist that goes much beyond the vitamins and minerals our bodies need to function optimally. I also dabble and explore the vitamins and minerals for our mind and soul!
I will feed your Mind | Body | Soul.
Up until 2011, I was working as magazine marketing girl for Cosmopolitan, yet putting on those heels every day and trudging through all the hustle and bustle of the Sydney streets, just felt like a lie every single day. For years prior to this, I was unenthused, lacked motivation and was battering my body with toxicity. I was feeding my mind, body and soul all toxicity. I was not kind to myself at all, I drank too much alcohol, I took drugs and I engaged in toxic relationships. I put my body through hell at the gym in high impact soul-destroying group fitness classes and ran like a rat on a wheel on that artificial running track ‘the treadmill’. I ate ‘healthy’ purely to maintain my skinny weight, not as a means of nourishing myself at all. I knew my potential but felt lost in a world unrealistic expectations and beliefs around beauty, success and truth.
As a result I personally suffered many years of anxiety and depression; combined with my in-congruent life. In early 2011, things shifted, I knew something had to change but was not sure how, what or when. All I knew is I could not keep living this lie of a life. I found myself for years holding a strong passion in the nutritional benefits on disease and health, and after my years battling depression and anxiety; I felt drawn to undertake some formal qualifications in Nutrition – to gain knowledge on nutrition from a holistic perspective.
My philosophy around nutrition is simple – I believe that eating good food really is the easy part; it is not hard to learn what good nutrition is. I believe what we are truly craving as women of the modern age is good quality, nutrient dense food for our soul; we yearn for meaningful relationships, and a life filled with truth, authenticity and purpose. From first hand experience this requires a whole lot of love for our self, which is where the real hard work is. It is easy to prescribe and implement a diet plan for anyone, but to prescribe & implement a self-love plan requires a lot more courage, dedication and willingness. I believe once we have a well-nourished heart and a loving connection to our deeper selves, there is no reason why we would want to feed ourselves bad food. So the key is to first start within, and the crave for good nutritious food for the body comes naturally.
I experienced this first hand. The moment I started loving myself – that’s when my shift towards good food altered from ‘eating to maintain a certain weight’ to ‘nourishing this beautiful woman I am’.
My great passion for the evident effects of the concept of nutrition for the mind body and soul is so strong and I know first hand many women struggle with this evident negative vicious cycle towards food and the mind body connection; and I wish to impart my wisdom thus far onto as many women as I can through my blog posts, coaching and various side projects. Personally, the more connected I have got to my truth, the more love and great things started to happen to me. These days my depression is near to non-existent and I feel I am living the life I was born to live; I have slowly created the life I wish to lead not anyone else.
